Listen, it's not that I think you can't handle yourself, just... [Gojyo is secretly a worrywart when it comes to people he cares about. That, and he has a bit of a history with letting inmates into places no questions asked, and have had it blown up in his face.]

"Yup", Gojyo deadpans. He's a bit creeped out by the whole thing, sure, but scared? Nah.

"If I ask you to hold my hand, can we pretend it's 'cause you're scared to preserve my manly pride?"

It's obvious by his tone he's not actually asking to hold hands.

Ellie loves her bits almost as much as she loves a good pun, so she holds a hand out to him.

"I won't even snitch if you give a girly shriek at shadows."

Gojyo takes her hand. Ugh, now he's going to look like a softie who holds hand with children in front of all the ghosts.

"My hero. I'd hide behind you if a ghost shows up, but I'd have to fold myself like a Swiss knife or something."

"Actually, since you mention it." Maybe she'll use this handholding to trap him here until she gets her way. That wasn't her plan but she'll take what she can get, because-- "You can ask for my stuff back, right? Even as my temporary Warden?"

"Uh, I think so? Not if you have any supernatural powers or whatever; only a permanent warden can request those back. But stuff, sure.

What'd you need?"

He'll bet it's a weapon.

"It's a couple of things." Which complicates it, she's sure. But it feels like honesty is the best option here, to a point.

Is there a weapon? Yes. But there's other stuff too.

"I don't have a lot of shit, you know? I had a backpack with like...everything I own in it. Can you get that?"

Gojyo gives her hand a brief squeeze before he lets go of her hand to focus on his communicator.

"I can ask," he says while typing the request to the Admiral.

"Anything you need besides the stuff you got back home?"

"I can ask for other stuff?"

What would she even ask for? The recreation of her FEDRA room has come with plenty of her space posters...

"What about music?"

"Think he gets grouchy about stuff you can get yourself. Did you check out the library yet? They've got movies and music, not just books."

"I've seen the books and those magnifying glasses that read them for you, but not music."

And without her tape player, she's been woefully bereft. Then again, she's only just started to ease out of how stuck she's been in fight or flight. It's not, she decides, something she's going to mention to Gojyo that he's had a part in because that's emotional and gross.

"Some Nirvana would be awesome, though I'll listen to anything."
